The firm has a 98% retention of staff and is now looking to bolster the team further. - Assisting seniors/managers/partners in providing tax advice to clients, including attendance to client meetings where required.
- Assisting seniors/managers/partners in advising clients on the effects of tax on individuals and business activities’ and providing strategies for asset protection and tax minimisation; assisting in training/mentoring junior staff, including induction for internal business processes.
- Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships, as well as, preparation of financial reports for companies, partnerships and trusts.
- Ensuring that clients comply with periodic tax payments (e.g. BAS, IAS, Income Tax, FBT), information reporting, and other compliance obligations.
To be considered:
- 3 + experience in an Australian Public Practice.
- Studying CA/CPA or close to completion.
- The ability to take job accountability as part of a team and autonomously.
- Working knowledge of Div 7a, CGT, and issues faced in public practice accounting.
- Exposure to groups of entities, including but not limited to, companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals etc.
- Experience with liaising with clients (via phone, email and/or face to face) and colleagues.
- Good understanding of Xero, MYOB and other accounting software.
- Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
