Job Description 

Requirements

  • A relevant industry related qualification
  • Computer literacy in MS Office software
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in an event management/project

management

  • Event management experience at a Stadium will be to the

applicants advantage

  • Knowledge of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Willingness to work outside normal working hours.

Key Performance Areas

_Participate in and implement event attraction and leveraging strategies for the facilities in this Department’s portfolio

_Manage event protocols for events at the CT Stadium and immediate precinct

_Coordinate and host events according to relevant strategies policies and legislation

_ Ensure that all relevant approvals are obtained and all relevant reports are concluded

_Positively contribute to the design and implementation of an Integrated Events Strategy

_Ensure compliance with systems to manage and coordinate event bookings, event enquiries and scheduling of singular or multiple events at the same time in a variety of locations in the Stadium and the immediate precinct

_Ensure that potential event risks are identified and that adequate mitigating mechanisms are implemented

_Coordinate and participate in negotiations with event Organisers regarding event activations and services

_Implement the departmental liaison and communication strategy through Liaising with local national and international clients in a customer centric manner

_Guiding clients in the shaping of their intended events and/or functions to be hosted at the Cape Town Stadium, Liaising inter- departmentally to ensure synergy between departments Liaising with rate payer’s associations, sport and cultural clubs

_Manage annual operating and capital budgets

_Manage the implementation of City administrative policies and
