The Company: My client offers a compelling opportunity in Melbourne for a Project Coordinator. With a base on a Residential project in Footscray, this role is an integral part of the project delivery team, emphasizing design quality, safety, and adherence to timelines.

About the Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in construction delivery, particularly in larger-scale commercial projects, and some residential project experience. Building strong working relationships and fostering positive engagement at all organizational levels are crucial skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management are essential for addressing on-site challenges proactively.

Responsibilities and Capabilities

  • Proven background in Engineering, Commercial Construction, and Delivery process.
  • Ability to read and understand design drawings and technical specifications for the works.
  • Demonstrated experience of working on relevant projects and managing packages of work on-site in line with safety, quality, program, and financial requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia.
  • Support the subcontractor procurement process by developing scopes of work with the commercial team.
  • Demonstrated experience of working collaboratively with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction progress in line with the program, and ensuring issues and solutions are raised early.
  • Professional, strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
