Security Officer

Job Description 

• Ongoing, full-time
• Sydney CBD – The Domain
• Total Remuneration Package up to $68,011
• Salary $61,272 (+ total annual penalties estimate $16,000 depending on shifts worked)

Established in, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

The Gallery attracts around 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the Role

Security Officers will work in any of the Gallery buildings on a roster that may include any weekday or weekend, and a mix of day, afternoon and night shifts. This position ensures that international museum security standards are maintained through risk mitigation.
