W Brisbane located at 81 North Quay, Brisbane City is hiring a Rooms Controller. The Rooms Controller will ensure that the requests and needs of all guests are accommodated and room inventory and allocations are processed to ensure guest satisfaction whilst maintaining the best for the business. You will also assist the Welcome Manager with daily operations, making business decisions for the unit in their absence and always taking into account the Hotel’s philosophies, standards and procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

The Rooms Controller will ensure that the requests and needs of all guests are accommodated and room inventory and allocations are processed to ensure guest satisfaction whilst maintaining the best for the business. You will also assist the Welcome Manager and Assistant Welcome Manager with daily operations, making business decisions for the unit in their absence and always taking into account the Hotel’s philosophies, standards and procedures.

Excellent communication skills and a lust for life are essential. You will be collaborative with a strategic and analytical focus.

THE ROLE

  • Drive guests use of the Mobile Check in and Out platform, and actions request as required.
  • Assign room according to guest request and preferences whenever possible.
  • Accommodate requests for room changes when possible.
  • Communicate to appropriate talent that there are guests that are waiting for an available room.
  • Coordinate with Style to track readiness of rooms for check-in and to report guest concerns.
  • Review out-of-order rooms daily to determine status and estimated date for return to room inventory.
  • Verify and adjust billing for guests.
