Marketing Specialist

Job Description 

Innovation Saskatchewan supports Saskatchewan’s research community and technology sector to create economic growth and diversity. As the central agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province’s innovation priorities and growing the technology sector. Innovation Saskatchewan develops policies and programs and conducts activities that assist in the implementation of research & development, science, and technology for the province. This includes development and operation of Saskatchewan’s research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Communications & Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for channels and strategies that reach and appeal to segmented audiences within the province’s technology sector and research community. Primary Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing marketing campaigns to maximize brand visibility and drive interest in Innovation Saskatchewan programs, parks and other supports
  • Writing copy and directing design for campaign-related web pages
  • Performing audience research and segmentation in support of campaigns
  • Creating and maintaining digital advertising and email marketing campaigns, including ad copy, visuals, landing pages and tracking mechanisms
  • Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance metrics, optimizing campaigns based on insights and providing regular reports
  • Assisting in managing social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling and engagement with audiences
  • Developing and maintaining marketing performance reports
  • Conducting data analysis and providing recommendations for optimizing operations, improving efficiency and overall performance
  • Developing and distributing Innovation Saskatchewan’s internal newsletter
  • Other marketing and communications duties as assigned

What We Want from You

  • Degree or certificate in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in digital advertising, email marketing and marketing operations
  • Proficiency in analyzing campaign data and metrics and translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail and creativity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficient in content creation and management for various channels, including social media, websites, and newsletters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the technology sector and an interest in innovation and research

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $58,039.00-$75,451.00 per year
