Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Dispensing Medications: Filling prescriptions accurately and providing patients with the correct medications and dosage instructions.

2. Patient Counseling: Offering guidance on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions to ensure patients understand their treatment plans.

3. Medication Management: Monitoring patients’ medication histories, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with healthcare providers to adjust treatments as needed.

4. Prescription Verification: Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, validity, and appropriateness before dispensing medications.

5. Drug Interaction Checks: Identifying and preventing harmful interactions between different medications a patient is taking.

6. Compounding: Preparing specialized medications or dosages that may not be available commercially.

7. Inventory Management: Ordering, stocking, and organizing medication inventory to ensure availability and minimize wastage.

8. Patient Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, including prescription histories and other relevant information.

9. Health Education: Conducting health screenings, promoting wellness, and offering guidance on non-prescription medications, supplements, and lifestyle changes.

10. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines to maintain patient safety.

12. Collaborative Care: Working closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.

13. Continuous Learning: Staying updated on new medications, treatments, and developments in the field through ongoing education.

14. Overseeing Staff: In some cases, managing pharmacy staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From AED2,500.00 per month
